Why does my iPhone say “Unknown part” after a battery change?
Newer iPhones show a notice when a battery wasn’t installed through Apple’s own calibration. The battery works normally — the notice is informational.
My battery is swollen. Is it safe to use?
No — stop charging it and bring it in. A swollen battery can push the screen out and should be replaced soon.
Will I lose my data?
No, a battery swap doesn’t touch your data. Back up anyway before any repair.
