How we do it
Four steps, start to finish.
- CheckWe inspect the port under magnification and test with a known-good cable.
- CleanPocket lint is the usual culprit. If a clean fixes it, you don’t need a new part.
- ReplaceIf the flex is damaged, we fit a new charging assembly.
- TestCharging, data and the bottom microphone are tested with you.

Does the charging port also affect the microphone?
On most iPhones the bottom microphone sits on the same flex, so a faulty port can also make you sound muffled on calls.
